Designed by the Play Arquitetura office, in its first participation in CASACOR Minas Gerais , the installation entitled “Casa Viva” proposed a space that, just like a common house, is in constant movement and transformation.

The basis of this experiment was an architectural object built on the third floor of the historic building, a large space covered by a ceramic roof structured by large metal trusses.

The small temporary pavilion was designed taking into account the existing original building , extracting new spatial and architectural possibilities from it, highlighting the relationships between the existing and new architecture , exterior and interior, light and shadow.

The visitor was invited to follow these changes in the company of a host, the actress Margareth Cardoso , who took over the space and also incorporated changes into her character.

The proposal sought to highlight and confront the multiple potentialities of architecture , design and art and their interrelations with their users, questioning the idea of architecture as something static and emotionally apathetic.

“We, professionals who work in the creation of this universe, composed of space (architecture), things (design) and people, need to be aware of the relationships between these agents and design seeking affection, in the sense that we affect each other in our emotions and subjectivities. ”, says the office.
