Decortiles Beach House Project by Marina Linhares (Rafael Renzo)
The space reflects what the professional understands as essential in the design of a home . “This year, I really wanted to tackle a theme that I love, beach houses ”, comments Marina. “In this environment I wanted to portray what I have always sought in my work: a fresh atmosphere , with a selection of what makes sense in a given space and always following the intuition refined over these 20 years”, he explains.
The color palette with shades of blue and white dictates the atmosphere of the space, which refers to summer and the sea . The purity of these pigments is also present in the coatings, materials, finishes and fabrics, permeated by the natural touch of wood and reeds .
“We use and abuse coverings from Decortiles, a partner in this project. The pure , light blue and turquoise hues, along with the incredible work on patterns and textures, guaranteed the tropical atmosphere I wanted ,” explains Marina.
The outdoor area is one of the designer's favorite corners: “I'm a fan of practical solutions for the leisure area and the pool is one of the things I liked most about the project, as I chose elements with a lot of personality and pure lines that connect with the architecture. of the house”, comments Marina. One of the highlights of the project is the Calu Mar hydraulic tile, by designer Calu Fontes , with designs that allude to elements of the ocean, installed around the pool.
With Caribbean, African and Brazilian references , the professional brought different styles and eras to the environment. The Caribbean influence appears in details such as the white paneling present in the suite, as well as in the reed furniture inspired by pieces used in English colonies on the Island.
The influence of contemporary architecture is both in the structure and in the straight, clean lines of the furniture . In the kitchen, hexagonal ceramic tiles, applied to the countertop wall and ceiling, take a trip back to the 1970s, in contrast to the industrial style of the cabinets.
Brazilianness appears in the pieces signed by icons of national design. In celebration of Mole 's 60th anniversary, Sérgio Rodrigues ' armchair gained prominence in the environment, with its original design, exclusive to Dpot for CASACOR . Lina Bo Bardi is also honored by Marina, with the architect's pieces republished by Etel Interiores.
