Joana Requião debuts at CASA COR São Paulo 2016 with Terraço Gourmet , a 56 m² space inspired by country houses. “Participating in the show, which this year celebrates 30 years, is an honor and a challenge. Especially at this time when I am opening a branch of my office in São Paulo. I sought to create a harmonious space that would include the elements that give style to my projects,” explains the architect.
The architect and urban planner brings an elegant and welcoming proposal that deconstructs the traditional concept of terraces and balconies. To do so, she transforms the space into an extension of the living room, with contemporary decor, which houses high-end design furniture such as armchairs by Lina Bo. Bardi, Jorge Zalszupin and Oscar Niemeyer. Joana also developed a table in golden brass in partnership with the Amado studio.
The space is designed to bring friends and family together and receive them. To achieve this, the professional invested in a built-in fireplace made of Armani gray, which brings warmth and life to the space. The landscaping, designed by Studio Externo, is combined with a wall in rock that creates a rustic contrast with the sophistication of the furniture and coverings.
Natural lighting and ventilation were enhanced by using transparent glass across the entire ceiling and movable louver windows in varnished wood in a coffee tone. The color palette also combines two neutral tones, beige and gray. The works from the Carbono gallery, they enhance the limestone wall and the floor, with the same covering, features a silver carpet from By Kamy.
