Architect Mariana Crego designed
Loja do Enxoval , the space for the
Mundo do Enxoval brand at
CASA COR São Paulo 2016. The professional gives the space a playful, monochromatic white atmosphere that combines art, sustainability and interaction. The highlight of the project is the sculpture by artist Jadir Battaglia, located in the center of the room, above the bed and made of strings woven from the ceiling. The installation allows visitors to write and hang their wishes on the treetop, in an allusion to the legend of the “Wish Tree”.
In terms of sustainability, the architect invested heavily in details and materials. She applied cellulose spray under the metal roof tiles to try to reduce temperatures and provide thermal insulation. All of the space's LED lighting and displays were developed exclusively to house the products. The acrylic panels that cover the space have specific fittings for this project.
In addition to all this, Mariana uses drawings made with light to achieve a futuristic and conceptual air through a single material as a spatial unit: translucent matte finish plates from the 3form Chroma XT line, by Hunter Douglas, with a white film applied behind to highlight LED backlit strips. “I always put a lot of feeling and sensations into everything I do. I don’t like to be stuck to formulas. I believe that exhibitions and shows are places of escapism, ideal for unleashing creativity and letting the imagination run wild. By participating in
CASA COR , I am opening myself up to new challenges and expanding my horizons,” concludes Mariana.
