The
Kitchen with Service Area and Gourmet Balcony space, created by architects Amanda Vilela and Carol Couto, at CASA COR Alagoas 2015, was inspired by triathlon. Following closely the routine of Alagoan triathlete Higo Melo, the professionals decided to combine aesthetics and functionality, designing a kitchen with other integrated spaces.
The space is approximately 43 m² and is covered in a floor that imitates wood, giving it a rustic and modern look at the same time. In the kitchen, the upper cabinets follow a new design line, with tall doors of varying widths. The refrigerator space was designed to be built in. The innovation proposed by the architects also appears in the bold colors, such as Royal Blue Lacquer and Rust MDF, bringing a young and modern style to the apartment.
In the service area, the professionals continued with the proposal of practicality and functionality, leaving the space separated from the kitchen through sliding doors.
The cladding known as glass fillets covers the wall of the service area and part of the kitchen, giving the impression of integration. To separate the kitchen from the balcony, the architects used the well-known cobogós, which are important in architecture because they are considered sustainable, providing lighting and ventilation.
