01/50 - CASACOR Campinas 2014. Fabiana Ortiz sought inspiration from Route 66 and the lifestyle of those who love Harley Davidson motorcycles to create the space for her Son's Suite. In the color palette, yellow represents the sun on a motorcycle ride, while gray refers to the asphalt and the brown of the laminate conveys the rusticity of the road. Wallpaper, curtains, carpet and other materials add texture and patterns that make the result even more interesting. It is worth highlighting the practicality of the furniture, such as the simply designed study bench and the sideboard with wheels. (Divulgação)

02/50 - CASACOR São Paulo 2014. The Intimate Room is designed by Cida Portes. (Divulgação)

03/50 - CASACOR Pernambuco 2014. Romero Duarte created a neutral and elegant atmosphere to house Jader Almeida's contemporary Brazilian furniture, using a palette with variations of white, beige, green and black. Subtlety rules the details: notice the classic pattern of the wallpaper, replicated in the carpet. Few and well chosen, the objects mix the new and the old, favored by the automated lighting with LEDs. In the background, the vertical garden reinforces the coziness. (Divulgação)

04/50 - CASACOR Brasília 2014. Architect Gislaine Garonce created light spaces using light wood, pastel tones and soft textures in the Couple's Refuge space. The symmetry created by the lamps and bedside tables is an added comfort to the eye, and the rug with a discreet design is another special touch. Upholstery with generous poufs creates a lounge-style environment, ideal for relaxing. (Divulgação)

05/50 - CASACOR Alagoas 2014. Jadson Amorim invested in design pieces and furniture with straight lines in the home of the art-loving couple in the Living Room with Dining Room for the Young Couple. Gray predominates, with touches of blue. The highlight of the project is the lighting, which creates shadows and makes the surfaces even more interesting. (Divulgação)

06/50 - CASACOR Goiás 2014. Architect Cláudia Zuppani brought together two renowned pieces of Brazilian design in her Living project. The backdrop is gray coverings and two giant canvases by artist Leonam Fleury. The curtain features delicate lace and the rug is another work of art, in various shades of gray, sprinkled with white and blue. (Divulgação)

07/50 - CASACOR Rio de Janeiro 2014. The atmosphere is that of an industrial loft in the 40 m² project by Tiana Meggiolaro and Bia Mayrinck, called Sala do Primeiro Apê. The duo highlighted exposed electrical installations, bricks, brique lisser cement and walls treated with terrazzo. But there is color punctuating the gray base, especially in the posters and furniture by Oppa. The Modus modular sofa, for example, allows for several combinations, as do the coffee tables and sideboard from the Biscoito Fino line (Studio B Design). In the gourmet kitchen, utensils are at hand in boxes of various sizes from the Box line, fixed to the wall of tiles painted by architect and artist Mônica Camargo. The pendant lights are also by Oppa - and some feature live plants. (Divulgação)

08/50 - CASACOR Alagoas 2014. The visual play of straight lines and different shades of blue set the tone in the Lounge de Exída com Garagem project, by Carolina Mota. On one side, the living room for entertaining friends has a generous sofa and mirrored surfaces. On the other, the garage is a place to store your car and also for your favorite hobbies, such as musical instruments. (Divulgação)

09/50 - CASACOR São Paulo 2014. Daniel Kalil designed the Casa Cor Store. (Divulgação)

29-sofa-50-shades-of-grey

10/50 - CASACOR Ceará 2014. Designed as a palatial hall, the Living, by Dora São Bernardo, was entirely covered in MDF, which creates frames, columns, pediments and niches. Some walls feature hand-painted gold details. The mirror panel forms geometric designs and alludes to the Art Deco style, which contributes to the sensation of breadth and depth. The stone floor also draws attention: a Perla Santana quartzite framing the Woodstone (Granos) granite rug. The furniture is Le Spec. (Divulgação)

35-sofa-50-shades-of-grey

11/50 - CASACOR Rio de Janeiro 2014. Another detail of the Antonio's Loft project, by Monica Penaguião, is the cozy On the Rocks sofa by Edra (designer Francesco Binfarè). The base color is white and the high ceiling was preserved, while the floor is made of cement. The lighting, designed by the professional, emphasizes the scenic and punctual light, using lamps by designers such as Ingo Maurer. (Divulgação)

12/50 - CASACOR Campinas 2014. Barbara Panassi opted for a classic French style, creating a dialogue between the originality of the building and the personality of the colonial furniture in the Family Room. The color palette is formal and cozy, present in the tapestries, artwork and fabrics. The imposing chandelier, curtains and accessories in velvet or with some shine make the scene striking. (Divulgação)

13/50 - CASACOR Rio de Janeiro 2014. Anna Luíza Rothier designed a symmetrical garden with three large water features, surrounded by greenery in the Rooftop Garden space. Many palm trees take over the planters. Bougainvilleas cover the gazebo. Creeping plants, through the glass of the railing, blend in with the landscape outside. The flooring is travertine, from Hardscape. The outdoor furniture, from the upholstery to the tables, is from MAC and is completely waterproof. (Divulgação)

14/50 - CASACOR Rio de Janeiro 2014. Emmília Cardoso pays homage to designer Zanini de Zanine in an industrial-style studio inspired by old factories and warehouses, with beams, pillars and installations on display in the Designer's Studio. On the wall, a French handcrafted covering by Elitis, produced by applying paint to natural raffia. The award-winning Moeda chair (by Zanini), in a bergère style, made with discarded sheets from the Mint, is a highlight. Among the works of art, creations by Isabelle Tuchband, Roberta Da Costa, Sérgio Machado and Zanini de Zanine. (Divulgação)

34-sofa-50-shades-of-grey

15/50 - CASACOR Rio de Janairo 2014. The creative use of carpentry is the strong point of the Loft Joá environment by architect Patrícia Fiúza, which flows between the living and dining room, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom, on 84 m². On the walls, cement stone gives a boss. The light and classic color palette becomes more interesting with the different textures and details in orange and blue, present in cushions and blankets (Atelier Guilha), among other accessories. The living space gains comfort with the Italian Natuzzi modular sofa and the Empório Beraldin coffee table, with a corten steel leg and an engraved leather finish. Everything about the faded denim patch rug from Casa Julio. (Divulgação)

10-sofa-50-shades-of-grey

16/50 - CASACOR Brasília 2014. Architect Gui Rodrigues created the Collector's Room for the artist to explore her artwork and entertain friends. Measuring 50 m², the project features stage lighting consisting of exposed rails and directional spotlights, like in a gallery. The polished concrete floor was molded using a technology that allows for large pagination spans, avoiding joints in favor of a clean look. (Divulgação)

21-sofa-50-shades-of-grey

17/50 - CASACOR Paraná 2014. Measuring just 38 m², the Mini Loft space by architects Graciele Argenta and Ligia Drula is inspired by New York, industrial and rustic styles, with exposed bricks typical of old buildings. Thus, the cement pieces with relief and rustic brick are the standout coverings. Also note the Monalisa armchair by Philippe Starck, which is larger in scale than standard furniture. The benches are multipurpose and can be adapted to be used as a dining table or as a support for the sofa. (Divulgação)

19-sofa-50-shades-of-grey

18/50 - CASACOR Espírito Santo 2014. Ana Paula Brasil, Ana Carolina Ferraz Stehling and Paulo Roberto Pozzi Júnior combine handcrafted pieces with contemporary design furniture, some developed exclusively for this high-low concept in the Armazém do Artesanato space. The materials are in tune with this language: leather, straw, marble from Espírito Santo quarries and natural fabrics. The monolithic floor with a gray cement base reinforces the idea of a warehouse, as do the ropes that intertwine on the wooden shelves, reminiscent of looms. (Divulgação)

36-sofa-50-shades-of-grey

19/50 - CASACOR Rio de Janeiro 2014. Fábio Bouillet and Rodrigo Jorge designed the Contemporary Apartment, a 104 m² space with integrated areas where residents can interact with all rooms at practically the same time. So much so that the home theater is separated from the closet by only a blind. The apartment is almost entirely gray, with wallpaper from the Le Corbusier collection (by Belgian Arte), bricks (Santa Sofia) and porcelain flooring by Italian Florim. The carpet follows the color palette of Santa Mônica. Everything is punctuated by details in black and wood tones. Brazilian design is evident in the Chifruda armchair and Oscar chairs by Sérgio Rodrigues, and in the pieces designed by Marcus Ferreira and Flávio Borsato and Lattoog Design. (Divulgação)

11-sofa-50-shades-of-grey

20/50 - CASACOR Goiás 2014. Georgia Silveira and Tayná Gonçalves opted for wall coverings in the TV Room, a 20 m² space. One of them is English brick, which gives a classic and contemporary feel at the same time. Gray dominates and highlights the colors of irreverent objects, in addition to enhancing the cozy wooden furniture. (Divulgação)

23-sofa-50-shades-of-grey

21/50 - CASACOR Rio Grande do Sul 2014. Carlos Lemos took advantage of the lighting in the 100 m² space, investing in designer pieces and a lot of technology in effects and automation in the Crystal Loft environment. The LED system allows for a wide variety of sensations, saves energy and also highlights the textures of the furniture, in shades of white and gray. The large orange rug and accessories in the same color warm up the space. (Divulgação)

12-sofa-50-shades-of-grey

22/50 - CASACOR Goiás 2014. Alexandre Milhomem brought together a series of new products in the 60 m² Living Room 01, starting with his “Talhas” furniture line, inspired by the artistic elements of the Franciscan Convent of Cairu, in Bahia. The colors blue and green are added in harmony with pastel tones, while the silver and gold hues lend irreverence. Lighting in strategic points creates a sense of movement. (Divulgação)

42-sofa-50-shades-of-grey

23/50 - CASACOR Alagoas 2014. Various shades of gray combined with white create a sense of lightness in Henrique Gomes' space, entitled Living Room at the Entrance to the Mansion. The idea was to highlight the good design of the furniture, such as the coffee tables and the minimalist upholstery. Another thing that draws attention is the large pendant light measuring 2.5 m in diameter. (Divulgação)

16-sofa-50-shades-of-grey

24/50 - CASACOR Goiás 2014. In the Studio of Jewelry Designer Carine Rocha Machado, the natural forms of Art Nouveau, sacred elements and design pieces are welcomed on a neutral base. It is composed of pearlescent wallpaper with a fabric texture and an Italian porcelain floor with an enameled, marble-like appearance. The furniture includes a velvet sofa and the Daff armchair, upholstered in linen, by Jader Almeida. The transparent acrylic coffee table highlights the Aubusson rug. (Divulgação)

25/50 - CASACOR Espírito Santo 2014. In the Jewelry project by architect Léa Braun, brushed white marble is the main raw material. In the other areas - walls, sideboards and carpentry - everything is neutral and in shades of gray. Ideal for highlighting the exposed precious stones. The final touch is the lighting constructed from a golden cherry-shaped chandelier. (Divulgação)

28/50 - CASACOR Mato Grosso 2014. Interior designer Thiago Alencar subverts some classic elements in the Dining Room space, where every detail is the result of research. 31/50 - CASACOR Rio de Janeiro 2014. Paloma Yamagata and Bruno Rangel preserved the existing structure in the Loft 212 space, measuring 80 m², which looks like a warehouse and whose name, 212, comes from the city's area code. Shades of light wood, concrete gray and military green color the space, which features the comfort and design of the Jimmy and Oscar armchairs, by Sérgio Rodrigues, and the Fly sofa accompanied by the Box coffee table, both by Marcus Ferreira. After the color gray gave its name to last year's most acclaimed erotic novel, the book “Fifty Shades of Grey”, it was the color's turn to appear in the environments of CASA COR editions across the country. The tone tends to bring sobriety to spaces, being widely used, for example, in more masculine environments. We selected 50 sofas in various shades of gray. Check it out in the gallery above:
