Natália Coelho decided to pay tribute to one of Brazil's greatest furniture designers in her project at
CASACOR Bahia 2023 :
Aristeu Pires . A native of Bahia, Aristeu is known for his work in wood, in which he explores contemporary lines and light forms. Brazilian species are always present in his creations, as well as functionality, which, for him, has more value than purely aesthetic form.

Named
Casa Aristeu , the project – filled with pieces by the designer – tells a bit of her story, which, in its composition, blends with the architect's own trajectory. Also from Bahia, but from Campo Formoso, in the backlands of Bahia, Nat Coelho brought to her space items that
evoke affective memories – such as the
wall of portraits , which traveled back in time straight from her grandmother's house in the countryside.

In addition, other décor choices are reminiscent of his childhood, such as
cork , a material so present in the space that it evokes the land of the backlands. As a bonus, the material also guarantees
acoustic comfort throughout the space.

Finally, the project stands out for its
massive presence of natural light , which bathes the entire composition through openings in the living area, dining area and bedroom.
Wood is also present – in the furniture and coverings – ensuring timelessness and immediate comfort. Another highlight is the
vertical garden behind the sofa, a final touch of sophistication and naturalness.
