Layers of materials define the architecture of Casa Migrante in RJ

On the beach, in the countryside, or in a corner of the city: Casa Migrante , designed by João Panaggio , could be anywhere, but it was in one of the most charming corners of the CASACOR Rio 2022 garden that it was born. The 100 m ² space was built from scratch, using a metal structure that can be dismantled at the end of the event and reused. Its architecture is striking and somewhat modernist, with a metal structure covered externally in stone and a large internal space with almost no divisions. There, the woven wood panel stands out, which separates intimate and social areas, and a huge skylight in the bedroom that transforms day and night light into a vivid picture.
