CASACOR Paraná , architect
Luciana Hara has designed a library designed beyond traditional molds, composed not only of books and magazines, but also incorporating reading trends and new technologies. Contemporary, it conveys tranquility in an atmosphere that invites relaxation. “The proposal was to bring the functionality of a library to the present day, where many people use computers and e-books to read, thus adding factors that differentiate it from traditional reading environments, such as lighting,” highlights the professional, highlighting that the implementation of differentiated lighting helps reading practices.
The architect developed a modern design inspired by her travels around the world. "In Chile, they use wide slats on the ceiling, as I used in this space, which brings a masculine and elegant touch to the space," she adds. The library mixes light and dark colors, highlighting the objects with provocative colors. “In residential projects, the space has to be versatile, with several uses, such as a home office, living room and study room.”
Visitors to the exhibition can see a selection of art objects curated by Adelino Marinho, such as photographs by Bruno Leite from São Paulo. The decor also includes furniture designed by designers, such as the armchair by Guilherme Torres and the ottoman bench by Sérgio Rodrigues.
In addition to being automated and technological, the environment aligned with this year's CASACOR theme, Planet Home, by associating technology with sustainability, doubling the useful life of light bulbs and minimizing energy consumption. "With the reduction of physical books, there is a reduction in the use of paper. Automation also enables energy savings. These processes are applied in the environment, showing that it is possible to associate sustainability with modernity, while maintaining the project's design."
