The fusion of
architecture and
gastronomy has become a tradition at
CASACOR exhibitions. In
Minas Gerais , this experience is not to be missed: along the route through the
62 environments designed at Espaço 356, in
Belo Horizonte , different spaces allow visitors to take a break, which can be accompanied by a
drink , a coffee or a delicious dish of food. With
5 points dedicated to culinary experiences, the 29th edition of the Minas Gerais show celebrates the gastronomy of Minas Gerais by integrating a multi-service
living room and offering a variety of options for all tastes and palates. Below, check out the
bars and restaurants present in the
CASACOR Minas Gerais 2024 circuit and enjoy the
best of architecture and gastronomy when you visit!
Celia Soutto Mayor
A gastronomic reference in the city, the traditional Buffet Célia Soutto Mayor is at the forefront of Café Mayor , a space designed by Gabriela Brasil, Marlon Júnior and Pedro Melo, from the Pega Projetos office. With an
urban jungle feel, the
variety of colors , textures and types of furniture make this café-confectionery a casual and democratic space. (Henrique Queiroga/CASACOR)
The proposal for a simple bakery and café came to life with the choice of earthy tones for the ceiling and the preservation of the original floor and exposed structures of the building, to highlight the retrofit . (Henrique Queiroga/CASACOR)
Elisa Coffee
Another option for a
coffee break during the tour is the space designed by
Roziane Faleiro : a space for tasting coffee producers using special methods, curated by
Elisa Café , where the
main idea is to explore the range of aromas and flavors that the café offers. With loose furniture, the space moves away from what would be a traditional café and creates a home kitchen atmosphere. The small shop at the entrance with the café's products, the reading area and the shared table in the back reinforce the idea that visitors should explore the space as they enter. In the design , chairs by Jader Almeida, armchairs by Maurício Bomfim, exposed lighting in electrical cables and a charming lampshade bring affection to the decor . The Chef and the Goat
Led by renowned chef Onildo Rocha, the restaurant O Chef e o Cabra offers a
contemporary culinary experience with northeastern roots at CASACOR Minas Gerais 2024, serving a menu full of seafood. The project, called
Cozinha Marble , is designed by José Lourenço, Marina Figueiredo and Camila Vilela, from
Life Projects , and has
landscaping by Nãna Guimarães.
Stone, wood, glass and exposed cement synthesize the environment, and the plate , the center of the gastronomic experience, is the guiding element of the project. The space is guided by an external curve with the brand's identity and another internal curve, in carpentry , with illuminated niches. A highlight is the environment's mobile island , which allows for various layouts . Jangalito
Inspired by Milan’s rooftop bars, the sophisticated
rooftop bar operated by
Jângalito features a signature
drinks menu created by bartender Jezebel, creator of
Drinks by Jezebel .
With panoramic views, the bar is the focal point, with a modern architectural structure and elegant curves. Dubbed Eleve-se , Junior Piacesi’s project fuses modernity and nature to create a unique and captivating atmosphere. The idea is to literally elevate the experience to new heights , offering a panoramic view of the city and its surroundings. (Henrique Queiroga/CASACOR)
The space is called
Bar de Vidro because it
explores glass in a variety of ways: it is prominently featured in the shell that surrounds the orthogonal counter and in the bookshelf above the counter. This element contrasts with the presence of some natural elements, such as the ceramic floor and landscaping . After a circuit of 62 spaces that range from technological innovations to biophilia , visitors can sit at the wine bar , taste a wine and enjoy the present . (Henrique Queiroga/CASACOR)
