For CASACOR São Paulo 2021 , the project by architect Jéssica Martins , from Buriti Arquitetura, was designed for an Italian chef, whose busy life full of commitments changed with the pandemic.

Upon returning to himself, he revived two hobbies he loved when he was young: painting and ceramics . “It is in this exclusive place that she finds her essence , with a corner to clean her brushes, draw and paint her works. A place to have a glass of wine, while resting from the routine that has returned to normal”, she describes.

The combination of textures and stones is intentional, according to the architect. “The roughness and rawness of the stone symbolize the harsh period of the pandemic, contrasting with the earth and its humidity in the construction,” he explains.

Among the pieces selected to compose the space, kitchen utensils such as salt shakers and plates, with food themes and sketches with references to Sicily, are the predominant ones. These represent the chef's artistic works.
