The carioca Thiago Bernardes, an architect inherited from the tradition of thought about "the Brazilian house", debuts at the 31st edition of CASACOR Paraná. The Espaço Laguna marks the unprecedented partnership between the show and the construction company, owner of the land that will eventually be integrated into other neighboring lands, totaling an area of 10,000 m² destined for the real estate project also signed by Bernardes Arquitetura. The 100 m² projects celebrates architectural creation through simple gestures, with solutions of minimal environmental impact, the use of natural materials, and full integration with nature.

The laminated wood structure floats on the water and supports a roof made of thermoplastic material of German origin, which became the protagonist of the project by forming a wide shelter between elegant beams and pillars. The execution in engineered wood, derived from the sustainable management of planted Pinus forests, consists of glued wood slats, functional pieces that allow for a faster and cleaner construction. Bernardes explains that wood is a raw material widely used in civil construction that, during its life cycle, stores more carbon than it emits. "Although it is a technique that has existed for decades, glued laminated wood structures are still little explored in our country and offer several advantages, combining natural aesthetics, responsibility with the projects, and technical performance," says the architect.

In the exhibition gallery, the visitor learns about the exclusive projects carried out in Curitiba by the construction company in collaboration with the office, presented through models, images, and texts developed especially for the show. The projects emphasize the natural textures and neutral tones of the chosen materials, creating a cozy space that highlights the displayed content. To accommodate visitors comfortably, a large linear bench in wood surrounds the pavilion. This piece, along with the countertop and totems, was designed exclusively by Bernardes Arquitetura for CASACOR Paraná.

The wood present in the furniture, in the deck flooring, and in the structure is combined with the stone (granite with a sawn finish) from the surrounding walls, with the water of the reflecting pool, and with the green of the vegetation. The set seeks a dialogue with the century-old araucarias around — one of the most important symbols of the city — trees that gain even more prominence thanks to the zenith openings and the lateral recesses of the Espaço Laguna, which allow a visual connection with the surroundings.
