A noble, dark and rare tree, wenge (or wenguê) guides the concept of the project by interior designer
Juarez Cruz at
CASACOR São Paulo 2023. Starting with the closet measuring
over 12 meters long , in which the niches highlight the strong tone of this wood.
The material also appears on the
carpentry panel located at the entrance to the room and on the
loose furniture .
The project features two major launches by Salva Design de Mobiliários: the
Palafita bed , designed by Juarez himself; and the
Kalós sofa , designed by
the Dieedro by Jayme Bernardo office.
Inspired by the Greek term
kalós , which means beautiful, the piece, which
unfolds into numerous layouts due to its modular composition , is formed by an
overlapping of circles that resemble the delicate petals of a flower. The organic character of the circle, in addition to ensuring comfort, invites the eye to rest.
In contrast, the
landscaping composed of native Brazilian species brings the greenery closer, along with works of art signed by
Amilcar de Castro ,
Felipe Cohen ,
Mira Schendel and
Túlio Pinto .
