The fresh look of architect
Laura Carvalho does not go unnoticed in her debut at
CASACOR Minas Gerais . The chic and cozy environment, titled "Ivy once", gained vibrant colors to take it out of the ordinary. "I believe that the main characteristic is to aggregate. It is a space to celebrate and enjoy with loved ones", explains Laura. But the project is far from stopping there. During the design of the project, the architect had access to a
photography album, dating from the 1930s, which belonged to the Ferolla family , former residents of Casa Hera – the address that hosts the Minas Gerais exhibition this year. It was then that the space began to take on a soul.

The architect commissioned the artist and fellow architect
Laura Vilela to reproduce the images in
Indian ink with watercolor . "There were nights and days
thinking about and representing a life on 15 canvases . I tried to represent remarkable moments without necessarily exposing the people involved there. The selection was careful, and many scenes were missing from this rich trajectory and so well documented in photos and stories.
It wasn't an easy task, physically and emotionally, but it couldn't have been more rewarding ", concludes the artist.

Other features of the project are also worth highlighting: the
selection of contemporary and vintage design pieces , which perfectly matches the proposal of the watercolors; and the use of
fabric wallpaper which, in an explosion of colors, brings lightness to the environment.
