Participating in CASACOR for the third time, architect Ana Weege returns to the São Paulo exhibition with her project " Estúdio Âmago ", which delves into the roots and the legacy we leave to the world. The almost 80m² space encourages reflection on our human nature , our personal and collective journeys, and the importance of recognizing and honoring the complexity that makes up each one of us.

Inspired by the profound meaning of the word “amago” – “the soul of your soul, the purest of the most corrupted being, the strangest quirks” – the project seeks to create not only an aesthetically beautiful space, but also to awaken genuine emotions and establish deep connections with our origins and identities. “This space is a celebration of my essence and the legacy I have built. A fusion between the past and the present, between the nostalgic and the contemporary,” adds Ana.

From the mirrored foyer to the main living area, the mix of eras that Ana wanted to create is clear to see, conveying a welcoming and inspiring feel. Highlights include a functional home office , artistic panel doors, an evocative fireplace, and design elements featuring natural materials that promote sustainability , such as columns made of natural cattail fiber and walls clad in coconut fiber.

With a mix of calm and vibrant colors and original pieces from her brand, AWÉS, Ana Weege imprints her unique personality on the space. The space is enriched by iconic items and restored furniture , such as the Soriana sofa by Cassina, originally from the 1950s, and the Chiclete armchair by Herman Miller. The classic Kilin armchair by Sergio Rodrigues was updated with a tapestry designed by the architect herself, uniting past and present in a single piece. Another item that creates nostalgia without losing its contemporary features is the beautiful chandelier by designer Lucas Recchia, made entirely of forged metal with colored glass, reminiscent of the Tiffany lamps that were widely used in the past.
The Âmago Studio is a truly authentic work, showing Ana's versatility in exploring new ways of creating and living. This is a space that deserves to be appreciated calmly, as each detail was carefully thought out and executed with a purpose that connects with the entire concept of the space.
