Integrated spaces are perhaps the biggest decorating trend of the last decade. There are two main reasons for this: the reduction in the size of contemporary houses and apartments, which require that the available space be optimized in the best possible way; and the desire to growing demand for a more functional home , where the architecture resolves itself without complications, bringing everything the user needs to hand and ensuring the comfort necessary to live well .

After all, integrated environments are nothing more than the ability to unite two or more environments, doing away with walls or partitions . Thus, the living room and dining room occupy the same area, delimited only by the outline of a rug or a bookcase. positioned between the environments. This is perhaps the most common combination for those who want to integrate, but there is also the possibility of adding the kitchen to the mix, as well as the bedroom and the office.

It is no wonder that many integrated environments are part of lofts , the type of industrial construction that was very popular in the 1960s in the United States, where they took the place designated for warehouses and made them a home. The key to this is to value circulation, natural lighting and multipurpose spaces . In this sense, the integrated environments of CASACOR SC | Florianópolis 2021 are a true source of inspiration for those who are redesigning their own home. Check it out below!

House of Birds - Tufi Mousse. Freedom, translucency, movement and originality were the inspiration for this project: the deep slatted walls structured to support the memories of the house bring the sensation of infinity to the gaze of a bird seeking the horizon. The flight of the birds also guided the lines and movements of the pieces in the space.

Yugen DECA House - Gabriel Bordin. A concept of traditional Japanese aesthetics, "yugen" is the expression of depth, of what cannot be translated, of the incomprehensible and the abstract that moves from philosophy to art. In this project, the yugen appears in the contrast of the shadow with the intervals of light coming from the windows and the illuminated surface of the kitchen, and the hidden landscape that eventually reveals itself.

It celebrates imperfect beauty and the impermanence of life. The architecture features different textures and natural elements, united by light tones and sober lines. Contemporary combined with cultural roots, minimalism combined with tradition, a pure aesthetic sense based on function.
