During times of isolation, the
kitchen has been one of the most frequented rooms in the house. In addition to being a pastime, many people have discovered the pleasure of cooking as a way to eat healthier and more nutritiously.
And there's nothing like having fresh vegetables and spices to give that special dish a finishing touch, right? In all editions of CASACOR in Brazil, the
kitchen has always been a star attraction and there is no shortage of ideas for those who are thinking of having a little green space nearby when preparing meals. Check out some of the inspirations signed by the
CASACOR cast.
Under the pergola
The Chef's Reception Space pays homage to Chef Ana Luiza Trajano, owner of the renowned Instituto Brasil a Gosto, at
CASACOR Franca 2017. Designed by Marcelo Diniz, the space features vegetables, spices and fruit trees on the outside, spread out
in the flower boxes and vases and planters on the shelves .
In the Window
In his space for
CASACOR Rio de Janeiro 2019 , Além da Cozinha, Jean de Just integrated social and service areas. In the laundry room,
the herb and edible flower garden takes advantage of the light coming in from the window , in addition to creating a kind of flowerbed behind the sink. Tropical species in pots bring more greenery to the space.
On shelves
For
CASACOR Ribeirão Preto 2019 , architect Camila Ribeiro Cury used wood for the ceiling, carpentry and window frames of her Loft Essencial. The material also appears on the
shelves that house potted plants and spices next to the kitchen counter . The skylight in the ceiling provides lighting for the plants.
Inspired by the warehouses and studios of New York in the 1960s and 1970s, architect Érica Salguero created her Gourmet Industrial Kitchen for
CASACOR São Paulo 2017. Here, plants appear in the vegetable garden installed on the central island and in pots scattered throughout the project .

CASA COR Minas Gerais 2015 , Nathália Otoni and Luciana Dias de Araújo, from Óbvio Arquitetura, focused on welcoming guests in their Gourmet Kitchen.
The vegetable garden on the wall next to the table produces fresh herbs and also serves as a vertical garden .
On the hanging shelf
Around the gourmet island, people, ingredients, aromas and flavors come together in the Alecrim Kitchen, a project by Bernardo Gaudie-Ley and Tânia Braida, from Beta Arquitetura, for
CASACOR Rio de Janeiro 2018. Vases adorn, perfume and make the suspended shelf greener. All over the wall

For
CASACOR Ceará 2019 , Ana Virginia chose terracotta, the color of clay, for the entire floor, wall and ceiling of her Kitchen of Origin. The furniture is on display, allowing the chef to see everything on the shelves and bookcases - especially the plants.
Lemon trees, orange trees, pomegranate trees, peppers and chili peppers mingle with the recipe books. In pots
A chef who brings his family together for culinary adventures is the star of Cozinha do Chef, a space by Adriana Canin, Daniela Alves Trovo and Márcia Okamura for
CASACOR Ribeirão Preto . Here, the
herb garden appears in several small pots fitted into a gap in the counter .[newsletter]
