About the show
The arrival of CASACOR in Costa Rica represents a milestone for both the platform and the country's creative ecosystem. Now in Central America, the exhibition takes root in a territory where the relationship between architecture, nature, and quality of life is part of a deeply rooted identity. Under the theme Mind and Heart, the 2027 edition proposes a reflection on the domestic space as a place of calm, introspection, and emotional reconstruction, in tune with the tropical context and local culture.
Since its inception in São Paulo in 1987, CASACOR has transcended the format of a decoration show to establish itself as one of the most influential platforms for architecture, design, and interiors in Latin America. Conceived as a targeted intervention in a house with urban value, the initiative quickly evolved into a cultural event that explores new ways of living, activates significant properties, and connects design, art, and the public through immersive experiences that engage with each local context.
One of the defining characteristics of CASACOR is its capacity for adaptation. More than exporting a closed formula, the exhibition proposes a flexible language that is reinterpreted in each city: the buildings change, the curatorial narratives change, the materialities change, and the way of understanding luxury and everyday life changes. This approach has allowed its expansion from Brazil to other countries in the region, establishing a model where architecture and design become tools for re-signifying spaces and building identity.
The internationalization of CASACOR reinforces its cultural and social dimension. Editions like the one in Peru have demonstrated the potential of the event as a tool for heritage rescue, urban intervention, and the appreciation of local craftsmanship, while experiences in Bolivia and the United States have broadened its reach to new creative communities and experimental formats. In all cases, sustainability, innovation, and sensory experience have been integrated as fundamental axes of the exhibition journey.
More than a temporary exhibition, CASACOR Costa Rica is launched as a project with a vocation for permanence. Its ambition is to integrate into the cultural fabric of the country, give visibility to local talent, and generate an educational, urban, and projects legacy through strategic alliances. In this context, design is proposed not only as an aesthetic expression but also as a discipline to improve quality of life and rethink, from Costa Rica, contemporary ways of inhabiting the future.
