CASACOR Brasília

Inspired by Turkish and Moroccan baths and Finnish pre-modernist architecture, architect Eduardo Brito created a 56m² communal bathing room. His inspiration was the pool at the Lutetia Hotel in Saint Germain, Paris. The idea was to create an environment where the public could share intimate moments, subverting the idea of bathing as a private activity. With a contrast between light and dark, the space features automation to create a lighting and sound environment, the Loop Chair designed by Willy Guhl, and objects related to bathing, the water element, and everything that refers to body cleansing.
