Sensory Perspectives
CASACOR Ribeirao PretoThe space that transports visitors into CASACOR is an invitation to interact and stimulates the curiosity of the eye. Through his contemporary design, Caio Oliveira, architect and designer at Muur Studio, distorts perspective and establishes new relationships between body and space. The essence of this project lies in geometric shapes. They are explored in various settings, such as in the lines and paintings on the walls and in the carpentry, which occupies the space in a continuous and unique way. The best examples are the sculptures that resemble old-fashioned monocles: they run along the wall and into the garden, creating a surprising integration with the outside of the house. Geometry also stands out on the ceiling, through the modular structure of the roof (Unex Arquitetura); in the large mobile made from leftover wood; and in the exclusive design pieces created by Caio Oliveira himself. Among them, the star is the Cerrado Muur bench, which, with the optical illusion effect, transforms straight lines into curves at the most varied angles.
