CASACOR Minas Gerais

Simple is more common in the store, filled with award-winning coffees and cheeses, crafts and utilitarian ceramics from the Origem Minas project, by Sebrae. Cynthia Silva, Rodrigo Maakaroun and Rodrigo Castro used wooden frames, sometimes contemporary, sometimes with references to Minas Gerais farms, to create an environment that invites visitors to enter through its lightness and balance. White, wood, punctual light, harmony between inside and outside, a sofa with organic lines, just right. The external covering is repeated inside: a very white rustic plaster. In the space with cement slab floors and a clean ceiling with plaster lining, also white, the half-moon-shaped counter makes the first impression on the visitor, who needs time to walk through the other shelves and racks, made of solid African mahogany. The appeal is quite inviting: they were filled with products from the Origem Minas program, from Sebrae, and offer award-winning coffees and cheeses, various cachaças, award-winning jams, as well as handicrafts, handmade cushions, utilitarian ceramics and sculptures by architect and artist Rosana Piló. The deck that surrounds the building has, on one side, a pergola with a natural fiber mat enclosure, creating a play of light and shadow. In this space, the comfortable outdoor sofa, designed by architects Rodrigo Castro and Rodrigo Maakaroum, from Ibiá Estúdio de Design, in partnership with Faruk Móveis, is an organic piece with interchangeable modules and a movable backrest that resembles stacked stones.
