CASACOR Brasilia
The desert gardens of Mexico and Phoenix (United States) inspired the Oasis Garden, designed by agronomist and landscape architect Mauro Barros. Measuring 220m2, the space, integrated with the Lounge Bar, uses desert plants that are perfectly adaptable to the climate of Brasília and have low water consumption. Highlighting the special ceramic pots from Mendo Barreto, called "panela-de-eleitor," which were sourced from the hinterlands of Ceará. African Sombreiro trees form the backdrop of the garden. Draining floors and a circular floor made of soil-cement, without the use of washed sand, present practical and sustainable options. Also noteworthy is an old iron bed headboard used as the backrest of a Mexican-style bench, inspired by adobe constructions, with rounded shapes and plastered by hand.
