Architect and visual producer, Hugo Ribeiro signs the Lounge of Renunciation, reaffirming his authorship identity marked by the union of architecture, art, and narrative. With precise aesthetics and a sensitive gaze, the space occupies an old corridor of the Convent of Mercês, preserving original elements such as a century-old floor and a historic staircase. The inspiration comes from the marks of enclosure still visible in the place, translated into a curation of sacred pieces, antiques, and contemporary works developed especially for the projects. More than a lounge, the projects invite introspection and provoke reflections on faith, choices, absence, and redemption — a sensory, symbolic, and deeply aesthetic experience.
