“Look inside, breathe and listen to yourself.” The message that comes from within piques curiosity and invites visitors to enter – and thus begins the connection between the visitor and Marina Donato’s living room. Connection, in fact, is the key word in the project. With two parallel and open facades available, Marina created an environment that encourages the visitor to look from the outside in, from the inside out. The space is clean and minimalist, and its diagonal layout allows for fluid circulation, without noise. “My inspiration was the air of lightness, well-being and comfort that we find inside our homes”. With this in mind, the architect used white and off-white backgrounds, an effect that highlights the furniture, textures and fundamental elements – such as the three-dimensional artwork by Daniel Paschoalin and the pendant that gives shape to the home office.
