Lavabo Terra e Sal

CASACOR Bahia
Between the sertão and the sea, the Lavabo Terra e Sal, designed by Andressa Mâtos, translates in architecture the very story of the professional, who has roots in the Vale do São Francisco and a special connection with Salvador. The project unites permanence and movement, warmth and freshness, creating a sensory and poetic space. Walls and floor made of terracotta burnt cement refer to the arid soil of the sertão, while the ceiling and bluish walls evoke the sea and the popular architecture of Bahia. The sink, simple yet strong in its rusticity, joins significant elements such as carrancas, cobogó in the shape of a mandacaru, clay sculptures, and nautical ropes, thus connecting two biomes and telling stories. More than functional, the lavabo is an invitation to memories and belonging.
