CASACOR SergipeInspired by ancient construction techniques, the space reflects the interior designer’s personal journey of reconnecting with her ancestral roots in the backlands of Bahia and family memories. The space incorporates modern and sophisticated elements, such as Deca china and metals, and materials that exude affection, such as sculptures in clay and lacquered wood. The works of art evoke emotional memories, such as the embroidered paper painting by Rebecca Sieiro and the wood and wire sculptures by Gil Apolinário, which add a tactile and organic dimension to the bathroom. By establishing this connection between past and present, the project shows that ancient techniques and elements can inspire current constructions and, thus, preserve the memory of ancestors.
