The word "ku'ya" comes from Tupi-Guarani and is similar to what we call shelter in Portuguese. “We created a welcoming and inclusive environment that celebrates Brazilian diversity and culture,” summarize architects Gabriel Ramires, José Carrari Filho and Stephanie Ribeiro. In the 53 m² space, the trio used materials such as wood, ceramics and sisal and adopted a palette that evokes skin tones. The curation of artworks values female production, with works by Gretta Sarfaty and Georgia Gabry.
