Garden Woo

CASACOR Goiás

Flávia Araújo and Ricardo Lima present a manifesto for the Jardim Woo space (in Tupi Guarani, “the place of emotions”) and invite visitors to change the way they relate to the planet. To achieve this, professionals look to the simplicity of indigenous Brazilian vernacular architecture for inspiration to reconnect with ancestry, roots and the land. The space is a true scenic environment that describes the archaic and primitive human habitat through a walk through a forest where vertical garden totems represent trees, the pergola's piassava resembles a hollow and the deconstruction of the sidewalks suggests the imperfection of the open trails in the woods.
