The lighting of the facade highlights the typical elements of the Neo-Gothic style. The vertical windows with pointed arches are illuminated from the bases, showcasing the silhouette and ornaments. At the top of the building, the lighting creates a kind of crowning.
The stained glass and rose windows were illuminated from the inside out, enhancing the symmetry of the block of the old chapel – flanked by two towers, whose wooden shutters were also highlighted. The pediment with the high relief image of Our Lady of Mercy and the adorned capitals were dramatically illuminated from the floor.
The project breathes life into this building which, despite the various interventions that have occurred since the foundation of the convent of the Company of Santa Úrsula in the 18th century, tells part of the history of Salvador.
