Being Intimate
CASACOR PiauíEstar Íntimo is an immersive space that pays homage to the cultural and historical richness of Piauí. Inspired by the work “Carnaúba, Pedra e Barro” by the architect and researcher from Piauí, Olavo Pereira da Silva, who recorded our colonial architecture, and by the work that the artist Gabriel Archanjo did for the film “Esperança Garcia”, recording black people he met on cloth scarves, we delved into the deep roots of ancestry, portraying the colonizer and the colonized to create an environment that celebrates identity and tradition. Works by artists from Piauí, Gabriel Arcanjo, Áureo Júnior, Júnior Brandão, Júlio de Paiva, Fátima Campos, Teresa do Carmo, Fátima Pereira da Silva, Fernando and Eduardo, as well as the Grota Association, make up the space. Estar Íntimo is a visual journey that captures the essence of local art. Each piece was masterfully crafted using raw materials typical of the region, telling a unique story, rooted in the traditions and values of the people of Piauí. The space features carefully selected furniture by Brazilian designers such as Jader Almeida, Sérgio Rodrigues and Estudio Bola. In addition to offering comfort and functionality, these pieces harmonize perfectly with the environment, complementing the atmosphere of authenticity and elegance. Estar Íntimo is not just a space, it is a sensory experience that invites visitors to immerse themselves in the soul of Piauí. It is a celebration of our history, our art and our people. We are thrilled to share this journey with everyone who visits CASACOR this year. Estar Íntimo at CASACOR is more than just an exhibition of design and art, it is a celebration of cultural diversity and the ancestral heritage that shapes our identity. Come and lose yourself in the stories told by each piece, let yourself be enveloped by the authenticity of Piauí and discover the power of connecting with our roots.
