Maintaining the space’s monumental identity through the existing elements was the guiding principle for the design of the project. The design of the ceiling recalls the original roof and the preservation of the doors reinforces the verticality. The arches rescue the history of Chanteclair and create a dialogue between the spaces. The glass in the wall covering and in the details of the wooden bookcase convey the grandeur and timelessness of the space.
