Chronicles of a Brazilian Family
CASACOR Ribeirao PretoIn this charming living room, the balance between antagonists sets the tone. A mix of design classics and the avant-garde, of origins and innovation, technology. Here the family displays their references and preferences, their travels, their music, poetry, literature, faith. Here stories and memories are part of everyday life. For the architects, “it is a place to live with personality, to shelter this eclectic, relaxed and sophisticated Brazilian family, as our tropical culture demands”. The decor is as eclectic as its residents, with icons from the 1950s, such as Sergio Rodrigues and Jean Gillon, avant-garde furniture by Roberta Banqueri, the lamp by Achille Castiglioni, the photographs by Vincent Ciantar, the exclusive canvases by Luiza Gottschalk. The rugs are designed by Inês Aquino herself, Silvia Camargo designed the carpentry, and the furniture selected is from Design Brasil Mobiliário. “We represent the home as a dwelling place for affection, body and soul”.
