Cinema Bristol
CASACOR Ribeirao PretoWhen researching spaces that promote culture in the Ribeirão Preto region, Rafael Granero decided to pay homage to an icon: Cine Cauim, formerly Cine Bristol, which evokes the nostalgia of street cinemas. Combining styles and possibilities, an important aspect of his projects, the architect presents an original, intimate environment. “A place to enjoy good literature, music and films, which values the past without sacrificing technology”. Its main elements denote luxury and sophistication: marble, high-gloss wood and gold details, as references to early 20th century architecture. “The tiles and green velvet reinterpret the context in which Cine Bristol was built, the transition between the modern and post-modern eras”. The curves present in the arches and ceiling reinforce the timelessness of the space, which has as an important complement the table lamp designed by Mel Kawahara.
