Guest Cabin

CASACOR Bahia

To design the Guest Cabin, architect Edilson Campelo decided on a main structure made up of glued laminated timber (MLC) - a high-strength material that replaces concrete and steel in large constructions. In his choices, the professional also chose to make the roof and facades with thermoacoustic ceiling tiles, which do not require additional finishes, and tempered glass frames, which maximize the view of the Atlantic Ocean. He also chose flooring covered with natural national travertine, providing a tactile experience that evokes the feeling of walking barefoot on rock. With the environment, Campelo pays homage to modern Bahian architecture, drawing inspiration from the work of Paulo Casé, who, in 1973, designed the Bahia Othon Palace in Salvador.
