Urban landscape, literature and design meet in this space that defies conventions. By bringing street art into CASACOR, Patricia Makhoul presents a project full of personality. The feeling is of entering a parallel universe. The bookshelves create an inviting labyrinth, an immersion in an environment of contemplation and knowledge, a temple for the body and soul. The lighting is soft, essential to create a calm, cozy atmosphere. As a contrast, the graffiti in the external area and the writing that covers the entire length of the ceiling – preserving the identity of the house, with its marks of time. The urban essence of this bookstore is also reinforced by the characteristics of some construction elements, such as the reference to cement and the structure of the façade, with gold-colored rebar. “The bookstore opens doors to new interpretations and dialogues, connecting with a diverse audience and establishing a bridge between the world of words and the streets”.
